For Today – 2/3/14
Outside my window...Partly Cloudy and 52 Degrees. After the
tragic loss of my beloved Broncos last night in the Superbowl, I was thankful
that Mother Nature joined me with tears of her own. The rain last night was much
needed and has left beautiful blue skies in its place. I hope we see some more
rain soon, I do love it.
I am thinking...about the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman. I haven’t
really been a fan of too many of the movies he has been in, but he did capture
me. I believe that he had wonderful talent and depth. Sometimes I wonder what the
emotional impact is on the body and soul when you are accessing such deep parts
of your being and talent.
I am thankful...that my parents made it back safely from their
mission trip in Mexico!
In the kitchen...Lots of Advocare Boxes. Today is Day 1 of the
24 day challenge. It starts with a 10 day cleanse. This is my first cleanse. I
will have lots of yummy fruits, veggies, and lean meat in my fridge before the
end of today!
I am wearing...A black, white, and grey top that has lots of
bling on it, with matching grey slacks, and black flats. I forgot my watch and earrings,
which makes me, feel a little incomplete. Does anyone else ever feel like that?
I am creating...Valentine’s Day Decorations and Editing Pictures
from a recent photo shoot. It was a 1st
Birthday Party, and this sweet Baby Girl just makes me smile!
I am going...on a Massage Date Night with my Hubby this Friday
night! I am super excited.
I am reading...I am finishing up my last book from my January
Reading plan, Juggling
Act - Bringing Balance to your Faith, Family, and Work by Pat Gelsinger. I
am pretty proud of myself that I made it through most of the books for January
in my Reading Plan. I've got about 30% more to go, and I am challenged and loving every chapter of
it! I look forward to getting into my book selections for February: 24/6:
A Prescription for a Healthier, Happier Life by Matthew Sleeth, Undaunted:
Daring to do what God calls you to do by Christine Caine (I saw here at
Women of Faith two years ago and was blown out of the water by her story), One
Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd by Jim Furgus
I am hoping...to see some health changes while doing the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. I
am hoping to see some weight an inches melt away, to get in better overall
health, and see changes to my blood sugar and diabetes control.
I am looking forward to... Valentine’s Day! We have a great
evening planned with Dinner and a Movie. I might actually get to enjoy a chick
flick with the hubby!
I am learning…Guitar Lessons Start on 2/13/14 – I am getting
both excited and anxious a bit about this! I am praying that I pick up the
instrument quickly. I would really love to accompany the ladies in my Tuesday
Evening Bible study. We really need some kind of instrument to help us make a
joyful sound!
Around the house...We are moving into our guest room after
wrapping up painting in there. We will be working on the project of refreshing
our bedroom over the next couple weeks.
A favorite quote for today...
A few plans for the rest of the week: Work, Decorating for Valentine’s
Day, Moving our Bedroom, Date Night, Getting my Nails Done, Church
A peek into my day...This was actually yesterday! Our home has
been all decked out with Bronco’s colors for the last couple weeks, and our
Superbowl Party was no different. I just love these straws I found, they came
in multiple patterns, and of course in Orange and Blue!

DeleteI love that quote!!! Good choice. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteThat quote is great! Thanks for sharing. Sorry your team lost. I am not a sports person so it doesn't matter to me. I am curious about all this "staged game" rumors though.
